2013 was the year of 1080p screens. Come 2014, numerous flagships will take a leap ahead to 2K panels and beyond. We know that LG is planning a smartphone with 2K resolution and devices such as the Vivo Xplay 3S and Meizu MX4G amongst others are also onboard. Then there’s the possibility of the Galaxy S5 or Galaxy Round 2 arriving with a 2560 x 1536p display. Let’s add another device to this list, the upcoming Find 7 from Oppo.
The Oppo Find 5 did a lot of good for the company and the N1 is only a decent upgrade to its predecessor. Well, the latter does come with some pretty interesting features, but it doesn’t quite fit flagship standards.
The Find 7 on the other hand, looks to be a monster in performance. GizChina is reporting that the company recently posted on their official Weibo account that they’re ready for 4G LTE. Based on details derived via sources, the website notes that the upcoming smartphone will follow the same trend as it Chinese competitors by packing a 2K display.
Where specifications are concerned, the Oppo Find 7 is rumored to carry a Snapdragon 805 SOC that features Ultra HD support, new Krait 450 cores, Adreno 420 graphics and better power efficiency. Apart from this, the handset will sport a 5.7-inch display, a 13MP rear camera, 4G LTE, 3GB RAM and a 5MP webcam.
While many manufacturers are opting for 2K displays in their upcoming smartphones, there’s a pretty good reason to be excited about the Find 7. Companies like Vivo and Meizu amongst others aren’t likely to offer their devices globally, but chances are high that Oppo will bring its handset to the international market and at an affordable cost.
