The price details for the Oppo Find 5 have officially surfaced and the device has been formally announced by the company as well. The handset made its first public appearance in Beijing, carrying some of the top-tier hardware components seen in most high end smartphone available today.
Starting off with the design, the device is dressed with a minimalistic slim form factor proffering a simple, yet attractive appearance. It features a 3.25mm bezel and a front frame that’s crafted from stainless steel and layered with a black chrome plating. The dimensions haven’t been spelled out as yet, however the phone will carry a large 5-inch display which has gotten popularized in the recent months. The IPS touch panel employed here has a pixel density of 441ppi and a 1080p FHD resolution powered by the OGS technology that’s said to combine the touch sensors with the screen.
Like the Optimus G, the Nexus 4 and the HTC Butterfly, this piece of hardware is deployed with a quad core processor which is a Snapdragon S4 Pro SOC clocked at 1.5GHz and 2GB of RAM. Hoarding needs are taken care of by 16GB of built-in memory. However, there doesn’t seem to be any medium of storage expansion provided here. The rear is fitted with a 13MP camera proffering the Stacked CMOS technology, an f/2.2 aperture, a 4-layer coating and blue glass filters. This snapper is capable of capturing quality images in low-light conditions and recording videos at 120fps. There’s also a 1.9MP webcam situated on the front.
The Oppo Find 5 release date is expected to fall sometime during early 2013 in selected markets only. The device will carry a $499 retail tag in the US and it will be compatible with network operators such as T-Mobile, AT&T and Simple Mobile.
