Oppo has a new selfie smartphone on the block, adding yet another model to its popular F series of mid-range handsets. The F7 has a 25MP front-facing camera, but that’s not the most eye-catching thing about the phone.
That honor lies with the Oppo F7’s 6.23-inch FHD+ 19:9 display. The notch allows the device to have an 88% screen-to-body ratio and closely resemble the iPhone X. The company’s even blessed it with an AI-powered Facial Unlock tool to make the similarity even stronger.
The 25MP selfie snapper is still the highlight of the Oppo phone though. It comes with support for HDR for better exposure in all sorts of lighting conditions. Its beautification tech has gotten a shot of AI as well, with the brand claiming that it can identify men and women and enhance photos accordingly.

There’s also a new Vivid Mode which ups the color saturation of the background and clothes. AR Stickers add Snapchat-like animations to photos. Meanwhile, the rear 16MP camera can recognize 16 scenes and objects and tailor the brightness, contrast, color and exposure accordingly.
The Oppo F7 is priced at Rs 21990 for the 4GB/64GB option and Rs 26990 for the Special Edition 6GB/128GB variant. The phone is set to be sold via Flipkart and offline stores on April 2 in a 24-hour flash sale where 10000 units will be up for grabs.
