Oppo F1s

Oppo has officially unveiled the new F1s in India, the third entry in its lineup of selfie-centric smartphones. The handset is up for pre-orders till August 10 and will be available via retailers across the country.

The Oppo F1s sits between the F1 and F1 Plus in terms of features. It’s been slapped with a Rs 17990 price tag, making it Rs 9000 cheaper than the latter. The new smartphone has been equipped with the same 16MP selfie camera as the older handset but packs half the storage capacity at 32GB, less RAM, a 720p screen, and a slower processor.

This effectively makes the F1s an ideal option for those who don’t require a 1080p display, 64GB of space, and 4GB of RAM but want to utilize the F1 Plus’ superior front-facing snapper. The lens comes with a 1/3.1-inch image sensor to let more light in, a selfie panorama tool, an aperture of f/2.0, and the brand’s Beautify 4.0 technology to enhance your shots and get rid of blemishes.

The Oppo offering continues its predecessor’s unusual tradition of sporting a lower-resolution 13MP rear camera. The company claims the unit clicks high-quality photos even during low-light conditions thanks to its 1/3.06-inch sensor. Other top highlights include its fingerprint scanner which can supposedly unlock the phone within 0.22 seconds.
