Oppo has taken the veil off a new smartphone named F1 which comes equipped with an aluminum chassis and a number of other impressive features. This device has been made available for pre-order only in Vietnam for now, but is expected to hit other nations in the coming weeks.
As for its price, it has been set at 6490000 Vietnamese dongs which roughly translate to around $290 or Rs 19300. All the components of the Oppo F1 are housed by a 7.25mm aluminum unibody which looks to give it a premium appearance.
On the front surface of the F1, you’ll find a 5-inch IPS monitor bearing 720p HD resolution, which is protected from scratches by Gorilla Glass 4. Inside the device rests a Snapdragon 616 chipset, offering 4G LTE support, an octa core 1.7GHz Cortex-A53 CPU and an Adreno 405 GPU.

Furthermore, this assembly is assisted by 3GB worth of RAM and 16GB worth of expandable storage. Oppo has blessed this dual SIM device with a 2500mAh battery pack as well. The camera department is headed by a 13MP rear unit with an f/2.2 lens. A front snapper is also present, and offers 8MP images. This phone runs the Android 5.1 Lollipop-based version of Color OS.

Like we said, the new Oppo F1 is already available for pre-order in Vietnam. As revealed by GSM Arena, it will begin shipping on January 21. There’s no word on when the phone will be unveiled in other nations though.
