‘With new customization options and smart features,’ the Opera 12 web browser has now made its debut after spending nearly 3 months in beta. This fresh release has arrived with enhanced security and support for webcam as well as themes.
To deliver a stable experience over various platforms, the twelfth installment to this long running application is developed even for systems based on 64-bit platforms. This proffers quicker page loading, better start up time and an enriched web experience. To deliver a more customized look to the browser, the guys over at Opera Software have enabled the addition of themes through a wide, expanding catalog of background choices.
“You spend hours each day in front of a web browser,” expressed Lars Boilesen, CEO at Opera. “Shouldn’t those hours be as fun and, occasionally, as productive as possible? We think so, so we made Opera 12 the smartest, fastest and most unique browser available. In a sea of browsers that look the same and act the same, isn’t it nice to know that you can get something better? We think you deserve it.”
The latest attributes incorporated within this build include webcam support that allows various applications to utilize the hardware in question on granting them permission. Besides the ability to add Speed Dial extensions, the application comes with hardware acceleration and numerous other tweaks. They include better search suggestions, tab previews as well as right-to-left scripts support for languages like Arabic, Persian, Urdu and Hebrew.
The Opera 12 download has gone live for potential users through the company’s website and it can be acquired for free.
