OnePlus launches its own online store in India

OnePlus has stepped up its online presence in India with the launch of a new e-commerce platform dedicated to selling its products. In doing so, it follows in the footsteps of other Chinese manufacturers like Xiaomi and LeEco.

However, unlike the two, OnePlus doesn’t appear to be selling its phones via the portal. The OnePlus 3 is prominently featured on the page, but clicking on the link leads to Amazon India. The brand’s international websites do sell smartphones, making its Indian one a break from the norm.

Instead of handsets, the store currently offers a number of accessories. These include things like flip covers, silicon cases, StyleSwap covers, Icons earphones, Type-C cables and tempered glass screen protectors. OnePlus’s main push behind the platform is to improve the availability of its products in India and vend original merchandise.

OnePlus is also looking to appeal to its existing users by dishing out limited-period exclusive offers for early supporters of its online store. Consumers will have to input their phone’s IMEI details to take advantage of the benefits.

OnePlus is offering a few discounts for its items right now. The OnePlus 3 Essentials Bundle (Protective Case + Tempered Glass Screen Protector) is being sold at a 10% reduction in price starting from Rs 1438. There’s also a 5% fall in cost for the company’s OnePlus 3 StyleSwap Bundle (Protective Case + Dash Charge Type-C Cable) and Dash Power Bundle (Dash Power Adapter + Dash Type-C Cable).
