OnePlus Icons happens to be the name of new earphones that have just been launched into the Indian market by the Chinese company. This product is available for purchase now – sans any invites mind you – in exchange of Rs 2999 via Amazon.
These are in-ear headphones which boast of hosting 11mm drivers for better bass and treble performance. The OnePlus Icons earphones have been designed to be quite lightweight in nature, despite having been built with a malleable aluminum composite material. Gold and graphite are the two colors available, but only the latter has made its way into India for now.
While traditional earbuds adopt a dual-chamber design approach, the OnePlus Icon headphones have chosen to go with three chambers to change the intensity of low-frequency sound. This decision was inspired from the blueprint of an organ piano, according to the makers.
The 1.25 meter long cable of the Icons bears on it an in-line remote which can be taken advantage of for playing or pausing music, increasing and decreasing volume as well as answering or rejecting calls. It’s compatible with all OnePlus handsets and a large number of Android devices. Furthermore, buyers will be provided with multiple sizes of silicone ear tips for better fit.
This product has been selling outside India in exchange of $49.99 since quite a long time. The company’s smartphones though, don’t follow the same pattern as India is given first priority during their launches. The OnePlus X which was outed recently is an example of this very approach.
