As expected, OnePlus has announced its 7 Pro handset, which also happens to be its most expensive yet. Along with the said device, the company also took the veils off the OnePlus 7, which is essentially an upgraded 6T. While the Pro model will be made available from May 17 onwards, the other device won’t be put on sale until June. Along with these two new phones, the Chinese brand also announced its new Bullets Wireless 2 earphones that now have better battery life, and a bigger price tag of Rs 5990.
The OnePlus 7 Pro, which starts at Rs 48999 is highlighted by its large 6.67-inch Fluid AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate. It is also the first display from the company to grab QHD+ resolution. Since this panel covers almost the entirety of the front surface, its 16MP selfie camera has been granted a pop-up mechanism, and quickly shows up whenever summoned.
The camera setup of this phone includes a 48MP f/1.6 main camera, a 16MP ultra wide-angle camera and an 8MP telephoto camera. The Snapdragon 855 chipset sits at its heart, and is offered assistance by 6, 8 or 12GB of RAM.
The OnePlus 7 is a lower-end affair, but it still offers the same Snapdragon 855 setup. Its 6.41-inch display bears a teardrop notch, and is of the Optic AMOLED type. The camera gets upgraded but there are only two lenses to take advantage of, unlike the 7 Pro’s triple camera setup. The main camera is of course a 48MP f/1.6 unit, while the second one is a 5MP depth sensor.
The OnePlus 7 Pro’s will be sold in India via Amazon, the OnePlus website and authorized offline stores from May 17 onwards. This applies to its Mirror Grey and Almond color models, while its new Nebula Blue option will be seen arriving on May 28. Its 6GB + 128GB variant will be sold at Rs 48999, while its 8GB + 256GB model will go for Rs 52999. Lastly, the highest-end 12GB + 512GB version will be sold at Rs 57999. Amazon Prime members will get early access to the phone on May 16.
The OnePlus 7 is still to get a concrete release date, but its price has indeed been revealed. Its 6GB + 128GB variant will be sold at Rs 32999, and its 8GB + 256GB variant will be priced at Rs 37999.
