The OnePlus 6T was last seen in an empty retail box, suggesting that the brand is going to adopt a very different design for its upcoming phone. A fresh leak out of Weibo verifies the previous one and adds a new detail to the mix.
According to the Weibo tipster, the appearance of the OnePlus 6T in the image above is “no suspense.” That’s true enough, since the phone looks just like the Oppo R17 Pro. There’s a teardrop notch at the top instead of a rectangular one. It appears to house the selfie camera and not much else.
OnePlus 6T Changes
The bezels are basically non-existent, except a thin ribbon at the bottom. The back is where things get interesting as there are 3 lenses stacked one on top of the other. OnePlus has so far stuck to dual shooters for its handsets, so its next device might offer a big upgrade in the photography department.
This will also help the OnePlus 6T set itself apart from rivals since there aren’t a lot of smartphones with a triple-shooter setup, with the Huawei P20 Pro being the most prominent one. However, there’s no way to verify if the above image is real. It could easily be photoshopped.

Another notable aspect of the OnePlus 6T’s back is the lack of a fingerprint sensor. This presents a couple of possibilities. Either the firm is going all-in on Face Unlock or it’s going to incorporate an under-display fingerprint scanning solution.
The second scenario is more likely since the Oppo R17 Pro has an in-display fingerprint reader. We’ll probably see more speculation about the OnePlus 6T in the days leading up to its launch. That could happen at some point in November if you go by the company’s past patterns.
