The OnePlus 6 is coming out on May 17 in India, but dedicated fans can grab the chance to buy the phone at a discount even before it launches. They can do so through a special Fast AF (Fast and First) sale taking place on Amazon India, although they’ll have to jump through a few hoops to get the benefits.
First, people will have to buy an Amazon gift card worth Rs 1000 at any point between May 13 and May 16. Second, they’ll have to redeem this voucher on either May 21 or May 22 when the OnePlus 6’s Prime-only Early Access Sale is taking place. Doing this will prompt Amazon to deposit Rs 1000 into their account as Amazon Pay balance.
The customers will thus get a Rs 1000 price cut on the OnePlus 6. The risk here is that they’ll have to be sure about getting the smartphone before it goes official. Plus, the brand hasn’t revealed the device’s cost yet. Rumors suggest that it’ll start at Rs 36999 for the 64GB model and go up to Rs 39999 for the 128GB one.
To make the decision a bit easier, OnePlus is also offering an extra 3 months of warranty on top of the standard 1-year warranty for early birds. While it’s confirmed May 21 as the date for Amazon Prime subscribers, it hasn’t disclosed when non-Prime members can snap up the smartphone.
OnePlus recently revealed that the OnePlus 6 will receive the Android P beta immediately upon launch. Google announced the OS just a few days ago, so it’s a fairly fast turnaround for the Chinese firm.
