OnePlus 3T gets Rs 1500 cashback offer

OnePlus 3T

OnePlus has announced that the 64GB OnePlus 3T will be the recipient of a cashback offer that strikes off Rs 1500 from the cost of the device. The limited-period price cut is active now till 4 June 2017.

The main catch here is that consumers will have to be an SBI credit card holder to take advantage of the cashback scheme. If they are, they’ll get the Rs 1500 on 31 August 2017. Only transactions conducted within OnePlus’ official website or app are eligible for the offer, so you won’t be able to buy it via Amazon India.

The OnePlus 3T is currently available at Rs 29999. The Rs 1500 cashback effectively means individuals will be paying Rs 28499 for it. The timing for the markdown is pretty interesting since the manufacturer recently disclosed that it was going to discontinue the phone and was in the process of clearing out the last remaining stock.

The situation is a bit different in India since OnePlus is apparently going to keep selling both 128GB and 64GB versions of the handset until later this year. Perhaps the new cashback deal is meant to speed up the process of getting rid of existing stock to prepare for the arrival of the OnePlus 5.

OnePlus recently announced a new referral program in which past and future customers can share their unique referral link with friends who are going to buy a OnePlus smartphone. The user gets 100 points and the friend gets a $20 cut on any accessory of their choice.
