OnePlus has officially begun teasing what may very well be the highly-anticipated OnePlus 3T via its Twitter handle. The handset has been in the shadows for a few weeks and is now set to emerge on November 15.
OnePlus’ tweet comes just a few days after Qualcomm itself confirmed that its Snapdragon 821 processor would be powering a new OnePlus device. The former’s post also concentrates on the SoC, asserting that it’ll clock in at 2.35GHz, faster than the previous version’s 2.15GHz speed.
The tweet also puts a heavy emphasis on the T-7 countdown which is meant to indicate how many days are left for the launch. It could also serve as a clue to the handset’s name, perhaps confirming the 3T moniker which has been bandied about by rumor mills.
The teaser revealed little else about the upcoming OnePlus phone. Speculation so far has suggested that the handset could carry a superior Sony IMX398 sensor while still retaining a 16MP resolution camera on its back. It may further run Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box.
All in all, the OnePlus 3T will likely serve as an enhanced version of an already advanced flagship. It’ll probably feature a few tweaks here and there but retain the same overall design and specs as the OnePlus 3 such as 6GB of RAM and a 5.5-inch 1080p screen.
As per a recent leak, the OnePlus 3T is expected to be priced at around $479 (roughly Rs 32000). The cost makes it $80 more expensive than its predecessor.
