OnePlus 2 update adds RAW camera support

OnePlus has begun sending out an update for the OnePlus 2, with the new tweaks ushering in some useful changes to make the phone work better. While it’s not the Marshmallow upgrade the company had promised a few months ago, it should be enough to tide things over till that day finally arrives.

Topping the list of best new feature in OxygenOS 2.2.1 is RAW image capture support for the in-built OnePlus 2 Camera app. To recall, an earlier software update which came out in September last year had made third-party support for the mode possible. Still, it’s nice to see the company integrating the tool into its default application and letting photography enthusiasts take full advantage of the phone’s 13MP shooter.

Snap-happy users will also be glad to know that OnePlus has fixed an annoying bug which had been corrupting photos taken from the camera. The brand had released a solution to this problem for the OnePlus X just a few days ago. Other fixes in the new upgrade include better Bluetooth and Ultra SIM compatibility, in addition to weeding out roaming issues.
