It’s the day fans have long been waiting for; the OnePlus 2 smartphone has finally been released in India through Amazon today. This is the first market after China to get the device, but what’s worth mentioning is that only the 64GB model of it has been released here.
A 16GB variant of it exists elsewhere and it will only be launched in India later this year at Rs 22999. For now, those who are willing to spend Rs 2000 more on the larger storage option can purchase it at Rs 24999.
There’s of course a catch involved here, and that is nothing but the company’s pesky invite system. Only those who possess an invite will be able to purchase the device for themselves. These are provided to people by OnePlus via various contests and giveaways through its social media channels.
This time around, the smartphone maker has also come up with a reservation list in which you can enroll yourselves for receiving invites whenever there’s enough stock available. Those who do get an invite, this way or another, will need to visit this page in order to claim the 2 handset.
