VoLTE is becoming a big deal in the wake of Reliance Jio’s launch, with many handset makers looking to capitalize on the accessibility of the feature in India. OnePlus is now joining that bandwagon by announcing that it’s going to roll out support for the technology soon.
While the brand’s latest OnePlus 3 already comes in-built with VoLTE skills, its previous devices don’t share the same fortune. This is all set to change now at least for the OnePlus 2. As per a forum post, the company will beam out HD calling support for the smartphone in the next quarter.
However, OnePlus was a bit more coy when it came to the OnePlus One and OnePlus X. Instead of outright confirming whether or not the two would be getting VoLTE abilities, the firm suggested that users of the handsets who are utilizing Reliance Jio’s network should download the Jio4GVoice app in order to experience enhanced call quality.
