Sony is going to reveal its new flagship the Xperia Z1, at an event today, but a recent leak may have spoiled the entire surprise or whatever was left of it. The official press release of the smartphone has made it to the internet, confirming the device’s features and specifications that have been leaked out numerous times already.

Let’s start off with the form factor – The Xperia Z1 will measure 144mm x 74mm x 8.5mm in dimensions and weigh 170 grams. The device will arrive in black, purple and white shades, and it will be water- as well as dust-resistant meeting IP55/IP58 standards which are higher than that of the current flagship. The company is still implementing its OmniBalance design language, but has crafted the phone with a one-piece aluminum frame. On the hardware front, there’s nothing that we don’t know about already. So we’re quickly going to list out the components.
