Determined to augment the lineup of DDR3, OCZ has recently introduced OCZ Black Edition 4GB for offering massive compatibility with AMD’s next generation Phenom II processors. These new modules function phenomenally on Black Edition platforms consuming ultra-low voltage, proving to be a paradigm parameter for the most recent excessively efficient processors.
Developed to be the ideal upgrader for users, the Series delivers the benefits of high-frequency DDR3. Designed specifically to operate with AMD’s OverDrive software utility, the modules ensure superior performance with optimum standard concurrently.
“OCZ is excited to launch our new AMD Black Edition Ready Series which is designed specifically to work with AMD’s OverDrive software utility,” stated Eugene Chang, Vice President of Product Management at the OCZ Technology Group. “The new OCZ Black Edition modules not only interact with AOD to overclock the memory, but also communicate with the BIOS to increase the frequency and performance of the memory controller. The result is a symbiotic relationship between memory and the rest of the system to unleash the full power of the Dragon Platform.”
Moreover, OCZ Black Edition modules embody AMD OverDrive feature that enables users to reveal the remote stored profiles when adjoined with 790FX/ 790GX motherboards, offering the cutting-edge with instant plug-and-play functionality. This unique and highly-forward feature helps in identifying user’s OCZ Black Edition RAM when affiliated with certified motherboards and processors, where the data is then sent to a remote AMD server to download the correct profiles and get the system up and operating at its maximum. Besides, the AOD also reduces the necessity for manual overclocking.
“We are thrilled to see OCZ develop the Black Edition modules exclusively for Socket AM3 platforms featuring AMD Phenom II processors,” said Bob Grim, Director, Client Product Marketing, AMD. “By supporting AMD Black Edition Memory Profiles, OCZ enables overclockers to achieve higher levels of performance intelligently through dynamic profiles as opposed to simple, static SPD parameters.”
Considering gamers’ demand for high speed, OCZ Black Edition modules come with high densities and dithyrambic DDR3 speeds. These high performance modules will be made available as DDR3 PC3-12800 4GB kits running at 1.65V. Further, each of these modules come with the latest AMD-branded XTC (Xtreme Thermal Convection) heatspreader and is endured by the OCZ Lifetime Warranty and technical support. The company has not leaked any pricing information yet.
