Earlier this month, the Nook Simple Touch and Simple Touch GlowLight price details for the UK had been announced previously and now the eReaders have gone up for sale. Users can place their orders for these devices through the nook.co.uk website.
According to the company, the GlowLight is the first eReader to employ an eInk display with a built-in reading light and an anti-glare screen to facilitate reading at night and in the dark. Controlling the illumination level is extremely simple and the device is equally good for reading in brightly lit conditions. The Wi-Fi-enabled gadget even ensures access to the Nook Store that stocks up on over 2.5 million books for its subscribers. It can cough up the juice for about a month on a single charge or for two months if the GlowLight is kept off.
The Simple Touch eReader with a 6-inch multi-touch display has also joined the GlowLight device in the UK stores. Its paper-like eInk screen boasts of offering a decent reading experience even in brightly lit environments. This device can provide battery life that lasts for about 2 months with Wi-Fi off. The 7-inch Nook HD and HD+ tablet with a 9-inch screen are slated to make their debuts in the country towards the end of November.
The Nook Simple Touch GlowLight price is tagged at £109, while the Simple Touch can be picked up for £79 through the company’s official UK website. The Nook HD and Nook HD+ tablets can be pre-ordered for £159 and £229, respectively.
