Nokia is busy making more X series phones with prominent notches, as evidenced by a new leak out of China. After the Nokia X6 and Nokia X5, the brand is now working on the Nokia X7.
You might recall that the Nokia X6 and Nokia X5 are the original Chinese names of the recently-launched Nokia 6.1 Plus and Nokia 5.1 Plus. Going by this logic, the so-called Nokia X7 will probably be renamed the Nokia 7.1 Plus by the time it hits the international circuit.
Nokia X7 Speculation
This could be pretty soon too, with Vtechgraphy claiming that Foxconn is already busy manufacturing the Nokia X7. The images seen above are apparently sourced from Foxconn employees. One is the display panel, while the other is the back shell.
Based on the images, it seems like the Nokia X7 will have dual cameras at the back. There’s also a circular hole for a fingerprint scanner. The display is fairly big, perhaps 6-inch or more with an aspect ratio of 19:9 thanks to the notch at the top.
There’s a chance the Nokia X7 is the official name of a phone known as the Nokia Phoenix. The latter handset is reportedly going to launch in 2018. Possible specs include 4GB of RAM, 64GB of ROM, and Carl Zeiss lenses. It might just run on a 10nm Snapdragon 710 processor outfitted with two 2.2GHz Kryo 360 Cortex-A75 cores and six 1.7GHz Kryo 360 Cortex-A55 cores.
The Nokia Phoenix could be priced at CNY 2000 (roughly Rs 20441) and arrive on September 15. There haven’t been any official teasers about it though. This is the first we’ve heard about the Nokia X7, so we can’t say for sure whether any of this information is accurate or not. We’ll let you know once more information emerges.
