Nokia X6 Cost

The Nokia X6’s launch is only a day away now, but that hasn’t stopped a couple of leaks from pouring in anyway. The latest batch reveals the potential price of the smartphone and its Geekbench score.

Starting off with the cost, a Weibo-sourced image hints that Chinese site Suning will be selling the Nokia X6 for CNY 1499 (about Rs 16000). This is slightly lower than what previous rumors have suggested. Reports have alleged that the device will start at CNY 1599 (roughly Rs 17070) for the 4GB/64GB/MediaTek Helio P60 variant.

HMD Global is apparently also planning to roll out a 6GB/128GB/Snapdragon 636 model for CNY 1799 (approx Rs 19200). Either the new poster is wrong or the earlier rates are inaccurate. Whatever the real figures are, it’s clear the smartphone will be a mid-ranger, falling somewhere between the Nokia 6 and Nokia 7.

The image accompanying the cost doesn’t reveal anything we don’t already know, including the distinctive iPhone X-like notch design. This will be Nokia’s first phone with a cutout. Android manufacturers have begun adopting the design in droves, so it seems inevitable that the brand would go down the same route.

As for the Geekbench listing, the page indicates that the Nokia X6 will come with a Snapdragon 636 processor, 6GB of RAM, and Android 8.1 Oreo. The phone appears to have scored 1332 in the single-core test and 4892 in the multi-core one.

Other specs which have gotten leaked till date include a 3300mAh battery and 5.8-inch FHD+ display with a 19:9 aspect ratio. Stay tuned in for more on the Nokia X6 as HMD Global unveils the series in China on May 16.
