Nokia is working on another Windows RT 8.1 tablet and is calling it the Illusionist

It looks like we’re going to see yet another wave of devices surface through Nokia before this year comes to an end. Apart from rumored handsets like the Lumia 929 and the 525, the company is reportedly working on a new Windows RT tablet as well, and it’s being developed under the codename Illusionist.

This news comes through @evleaks and while the professional leaker has no concrete information to share, the tweet does mention that the Nokia Illusionist will fall in the 8-inch category. The source has been spot-on countless times with information on upcoming products not only from the Finnish giant, but also other popular manufacturers out there. Also, @evleaks was the first to provide a clear view of the Lumia 2520 tablet.

Unlike its 10.1-inch version, the Nokia Illusionist will probably feature a 720p HD or HD+ screen instead of 1080p visuals and where the display’s size is concerned, you can expect it to be anywhere between 8 to 9 inches. The Snapdragon 800 processor should also be present here considering that the company has a long history of using Qualcomm SOCs in its Lumia products and you can expect to find 2GB of RAM which is ideal for Windows RT.

The rest is yet a mystery, but we’re sure there will be more information about the specifications and features in the days to come. The Lumia 2520 is the company’s first tablet to run on Windows RT. The device offers optional 4G LTE connectivity, a 6.7MP primary camera with Zeiss optics, 32GB flash memory and approximately 10 hours of activity through an 8000mAh battery.

Our best guess is that Nokia will make the Illusionist an affordable option to promote Windows RT sales. We expect it to retail somewhere between $299 and $399.
