Nokia and Telefónica Spain have joined hands to offer the Nokia Messaging push email service for the mobile internet users in Spain.
Nokia’s messaging solution offers easy access to multiple e-mail accounts. The Push technology that it boasts of ensures speedier e-mail sending right from the mobile phone. The service also offers supports to many ISPs (internet service providers) like the terra.es and telefonica.net. It is user-friendly with easy set-up, access and usage of personal inboxes.
“With this service, Nokia and Telefónica aim to respond to the growing consumer demand to be able to access their email accounts directly on the Nokia device whenever they want, wherever they want. In Spain, there are more than 15 million active personal email accounts, so there is tremendous potential for the number of users that can leverage this service. The objective is to bring mobile email to the masses and make it accessible to the largest number of users possible”, said Marieta del Rivero, General Manager, Nokia Iberia.
It is available on numerous Nokia S60 devices, with flat and affordable rates from Telefónica. And with all this, users also get to access popular webmail accounts like the Yahoo! Mail, Gmail, Hotmail and Windows Live Hotmail. It offers access to up to 10 personal email accounts on a single device.
