A handset we’ve seen leak far too many times and one which has evaded many expected unveiling dates, the Nokia Lumia Icon seems ready to jump out in the open once and for all. A recent rumor points out that this new Verizon device which is also known as the Lumia 929 should hit pre-order status tomorrow, and be made available on February 20.
No MWC debut?
The company sure has other plans for the Mobile World Congress if it has chosen to unveil the Nokia Lumia Icon prior to the grand event. Fingers can easily be pointed towards its heavily leaked Android handset which is set to end the company’s long-running snub to Google operating system.
What’s the leak?
Windows Phone Central has deduced from an in-store inventory listing that February 20 is indeed the date on which the phone will be made available. On the sheet, it has clearly been stated that the Nokia Lumia Icon will be made available for pre-order on February 12 before being released on the 20th.
The device
We know way too much about the handset even before its unveiling. By the looks of it, it packs in a pretty impressive list of specifications in a small 5-inch package. Moreover, the Nokia Lumia Icon is expected to be a Verizon-exclusive handset.
