The price and release date information for the Nokia Lumia 620 in the UK has been let slip by Clove which is now taking pre-orders for the device on its official website. Slated to arrive at the E-retailer on January 28, the handset is expected to start shipping on the same day, if not the next one. Its cost has been placed at £227. This Windows Phone 8-equipped handset will of course be a SIM Free and unlocked one, and the particular vendor will initially only be selling it in its black shade.
As far as other major retailers in the UK are concerned, Expansys is now taking pre-orders for all seven shades of the Lumia 620, but hasn’t yet disclosed the cost at which it will be selling them. Carphone Warehouse and Amazon UK both haven’t listed the handset on their pages till now. It is scheduled to hit Asian territories sometime this month with a similar cost tag.
Infused with the Windows Phone 8 operating system, this smartphone comes with a 1GHz dual core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor at its heart, while a 512 MB RAM is also present to handle its operations. It has been granted an internal memory of 8GB, whereas a microSDHC slot is also there for further expansion of storage space. Its front is highlighted by a 3.8-inch capacitive multi-touch display which is able to proffer a resolution of 800 x 480p.
A camera of 5MP capacity lies on its rear alongside an LED flash, while a front-facing VGA snapper is kicked in by the device as well. Furthermore, it also features the NFC technology, and grabs juice from a 1300 mAh battery that is able to deliver talkime of 9.9 hours over 3G and standby time of 330 hours. Apart from Facebook, applications such as the Nokia Music Store, Nokia Mix Radio, Nokia Maps, Nokia Drive, Nokia City Lens, Nokia Transport, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote and Internet Explorer 10 will also be present in the handset.
