Nokia Belle upgrade rollout for Symbian devices commences

Handsets operating on the Symbian mobile platform can now avail of Nokia Belle, the latest official OS upgrade by the developers. All devices by the Finnish manufacturer running the Symbian^3 or Anna are entitled to receive this overhaul.

Handsets in this list include the Nokia Oro, C6-01, E7, N8, E6, X7, and others. While the names in the aforementioned list can employ the service right away, it seems like the Nokia 500 might have to wait for a few weeks more. The new Belle update is expected to bring several enhancements into the overall interface and functions of these gadgets.

Several fresh features being introduced with the revamp include improved personalization options, extensive collection of apps, optional access to the weekly Nokia newsletter, and so on. The devices will now have six homescreen options to choose from. It will also permit users to manage live widgets and shortcuts in a better manner.

According to Nokia Conversations, a new notification bar will also be added as a part of the refurbishment. With this, users will be able to view and access important settings more quickly. In addition to this, Microsoft apps like Lync and OneNote should soon be made available for free download. The rollout will begin with countries like India, UK, Italy, Germany, Russia, Vietnam, United Arab Emirates, Turkey, Indonesia, and Poland.

The Nokia Belle upgrade can be installed by connecting the handset to Nokia Suite on a PC by means of a USB cable. This software will deliver instructions to successfully download this upgrade. The system will require Nokia Suite 3.3 or later.
