Nokia Asha 309 priced, now available for purchase in India

The Nokia Asha 309 has hit availability status in India and its price details have been disclosed through multiple sources. The phone can be picked up in color options of black or white and it comes with a host of free content.

Announced with the Asha 308 which has already gone up for purchase in the country, the Asha 309 is the latest addition in the S40 lineup and one of the newest members of the Asha touch range. The company is offering it with 40 free EA games worth Rs. 2,700 which include the classic Tetris title and Need For Speed. This may no doubt be a feature phone, but the manufacturer has designed it to be as useful as a smartphone. With the Maps application, owners will get free turn-by-turn directions.

The handset features a 3-inch 400 x 240p capacitive multi-touch screen and Wi-Fi connectivity complemented by the Xpress Browser. The phone is 13.2mm thick and weighs not more than 102 grams. Storage needs are taken care of by 20MB of internal memory and a microSD card slot supporting up to 32GB. The company has deployed the device with a 1110mAh Li-ion battery that’s capable of delivering up to 9 hours of talktime or 956 hours of standby when operating over a 2G network. It is also able to provide users with 40 hours of continuous music playback on a single charge.

The Nokia Asha 309 is now available for purchase through the Nokia Indiatimes store at Rs. 5,883 after a 7% discount. It can also be picked up through Snapdeal for Rs. 5,990 or Flipkart for Rs. 5,768.
