The Nokia 9 has gotten leaked in full via a Finnish website which claims to have gotten its hands on a specifications sheet and an image of the handset. The features are a bit too good to be true, raising some suspicion that it’s actually an April Fool’s Day joke or a mockup by a fan.
We won’t know for sure until HMD Global decides to launch the Nokia 9. Going by the leak, the phone might blow past the competition with a Zeiss-enhanced triple-camera setup at its back consisting of a 41MP, 20MP and 9.7MP sensor. The first is a wide-angle lens, the second a telephoto lens, and the third a monochrome lens.
Special attributes include 4x optical zoom, Xenon and LED flash units, a variable aperture of f/1.5 and f/2.4, 1.4um, and OIS. Nokia has outlined the module with 18-carat gold for a premium touch. It may have also chosen to make the back out of ceramic.
On the flip side, the Nokia 9 appears to have a 21MP selfie snapper with an aperture of f/1.8, 1.4um, and display flash. It’s of the same Zeiss make and offers superior low-light capabilities. Both Pro Mode and Bothies are present, allowing users to customize aspects like white balance and shoot from the front and back cameras simultaneously.
The specs list further suggests that there’ll be an in-glass fingerprint reader, a 6.01-inch 18:9 AMOLED display, a 3900mAh battery, 8GB of RAM, 256GB of ROM, pure Android 8.1 Oreo with Android One support, a Snapdragon 845 processor, USB Type-C support, no headphone jack, and Nokia spatial audio.
