The Nokia 9 has popped up again, this time in the form of renders and a 360-degree video. Even its specs have gotten leaked alongside, providing a clearer picture of what to expect from the flagship.

According to OnLeaks and 91mobiles, the Nokia 9 is going to have 7 rings on its rear surface. 5 are probably lenses, 1 might be a dual-tone LED flash unit, and 1 could be a proximity sensor. It’s not clear what the purpose of having 5 shooters is, but there’s likely a wide-angle, telephoto, and depth-focused camera amongst them.

While both the Nokia and Zeiss branding can be seen on the phone, there’s no sign of the PureView name. The device is almost certainly going to be part of the classic series to evoke some nostalgia from consumers. Previous members have boasted of insanely good photography skills, so the new smartphone has some big boots to fill.

Nokia 9 Display

The report claims the Nokia 9 is going to be fitted with a 5.9-inch QHD screen with an 18:9 aspect ratio. There are some pretty thick bezels at top and bottom. It’s a bit unusual for a high-end handset to have such a design nowadays since the trend is towards slimmer borders, no borders, or a notch.

HMD Global is disregarding all 3 going by the image above. The dimensions are reportedly going to be 155 x 75 x 7.9mm for the glass-clad Nokia 9. The presence of glass might translate to wireless charging, a first for the company. There’s no fingerprint scanner at the back, making the chances of an under-display solution much stronger.

Sadly, it looks like the Nokia 9 won’t have a 3.5mm headphone jack. Only a USB Type-C port sits at the bottom next to a speaker grille and microphone. Rumors suggest the smartphone will have a Snapdragon 845 processor, 4150mAh battery, Android 9.0 Pie, 8GB of RAM, and 128GB of ROM.
