The Nokia 9 reportedly got delayed to the MWC 2019 recently, meaning leaks about the smartphone are going to continue to pour in up until February 2019. The latest round of speculation comes via China’s Weibo where a tipster claims to know a lot about the smartphone thanks to sources.
First of all, the report contains an alleged image of the Nokia 9’s front, along with a hands-on photo of its back (which has been leaked before) and what looks like the Nokia 8 Sirocco. The new handset appears to resemble the latter a great deal thanks to its sloping curves and thick top and bottom bezels.
Nokia 9 Specs and Price
The Nokia 9 has the brand’s symbol written at the bottom though, plus the app arrangement is a bit different. It’s possible the device will run on Android 9.0 Pie straight out of the gate. Android One will probably get thrown in as well, which means the smartphone could get updated to Android Q and Android R.
The leakster claims the Nokia 9 is going to be priced at CNY 4799 (roughly Rs 50950). That’s a tad more than the Nokia 8 Sirocco’s current Rs 49999 asking rate. The phone has something very special up its sleeve to justify this cost.

HMD Global is apparently going to equip it with five cameras at the back. Two of them might be 12MP lenses with OIS, two may be 16MP sensors, and one could be an 8MP shooter. It’s not clear what purpose each serves, but it should be very interesting.
A 12MP selfie snapper might complete the photography package. There may just be an in-display fingerprint scanner up front, an innovation which makes sense since that’s what all the new flagships are going for. The Nokia 9 is supposedly going to feature 64GB and 256GB options with 6GB of RAM to keep things running smoothly.
