The Nokia 6 (2018) was launched in India earlier this week, and it’s already up for sale in the country. The handset is being sold with a Rs 16999 price tag for its 3GB of RAM and 32GB of ROM variant.
Last year’s Nokia 6 had received a 4GB of RAM and 64GB of ROM variant a couple of months after the handset had gotten released. HMD Global hasn’t said whether it’ll be doing the same this year as well. The company didn’t change the 2018 iteration’s formula too much this time round, sticking to mostly the same specs with a few differences.
One such change is the addition of 360-degree OZO Audio for advanced spatial sound recording done through 2 microphones for high-fidelity audio. Performance has apparently shot up by 60% as compared the original Nokia 6 thanks to a Snapdragon 630 processor. Plus, the software has gone from close-to-stock Android to fully stock Android thanks to the shift to Android One.
On the photography front, the camera setup at the front and back is the same with 16MP rear and 8MP selfie shooters. What has changed is support for Nokia’s Dual-Sight technology which lets users shoot photos from both lenses to create Bothies.
