HMD Global’s been pumping out Nokia phones with a number attached to them for a while now, but we’ve yet to hear anything about a Nokia 4 in the making. This ends now as a new rumor claims that there is one in existence and it’ll be making its grand entry at the MWC 2018.
The Nokia 4 actually came to light a few weeks ago through Nokiapoweruser’s APK digging of the Nokia Camera app. A separate leak indicated that it would take the Nokia 3’s place in HMD Global’s portfolio. Vk.com is now reporting that the device will be arriving at the MWC 2018 with a Snapdragon 450 processor beating at its heart.
That’s all there is out there about the Nokia 4, so the smartphone is still a big mystery for now. All will be revealed on February 25 when HMD Global plans to host its pre-MWC event. It hasn’t revealed which devices will be shown off to the world yet, but the Nokia 1, Nokia 6 (2018), Nokia 7 Plus, and Nokia 8 Sirocco are strong candidates at the moment.
Adding the Nokia 4 to the mix could be a bit too much. It’s best to take the latest rumor about it with a pinch of salt since there haven’t been any reliable sources of information about it yet. HMD Global had unveiled 4 handsets at last year’s MWC, so launching 5 might not be totally out of the question.
It would be strange though, given that the Nokia 4 may get pushed out of the spotlight in the face of the Android Go-running Nokia 1, upgraded Nokia 6 (2018), 18:9 Android One-running Nokia 7 Plus, and premium Nokia 8 Sirocco.
