The Nokia 230 has now hit availability in India, two months after the device was brought to the world’s attention. The Microsoft offering specializes in selfies, an unusual trait for a feature phone. The function may even help it carve out a space for itself in the market.
To recap, Microsoft had introduced single SIM and dual-SIM variants of the Nokia 230 at its launch. It’s only brought the latter to India and has priced it at less than Rs 4000. There’s been no word from the tech giant on when it’s planning to debut the former in the country.
While it is possible to get a smartphone at that cost, the 230 Dual SIM is probably aiming for dedicated feature phone users who don’t want to make the switch. It’s been granted a slightly more premium look than other products within its segment thanks to a sand-blasted aluminum back cover.
Then there’s the Nokia handset’s camera setup which consist of a 2MP camera with LED flash on both the front and rear surface. The company has even installed a dedicated selfie key to let users easily launch the snapper. The flash unit on the back panel also doubles up as a torchlight.

According to the terms and conditions, the premium game will be pre-selected by the latter firm and will only be free till the end of the month. Consumers can then opt to download a demo or buy the full version.
