Nokia 220 brings another dual SIM ultra-affordable proposition to the India market

The Nokia 220 feature phone which we saw being launched at this year’s MWC as an accompaniment to the high-profile X family of devices has made its way into India now, with its price tagged at Rs 2,999. Although that is its actual MRP, the Finnish company itself is selling it at a discounted Rs 2,749 through its official eStore.

And it’s got features to substantiate that low price. The Nokia 220 lets you stare into a 2.4-inch display that grants a negligible resolution of 320 x 240 pixels. It’s got dual SIM capabilities, but there’s no 3G support of course. A highlight is the fact that it has a 2MP camera latched onto it, providing 2x digital zoom and 15fps video recordings.

While there’s no internal memory, apart from the facility to store contacts, there is a microSD card slot present on the Nokia 220 if you wish to store your photographs, videos and music on the device. An SD card of up to 32GB is supported by this slot. Sized at 116.4mm x 50.3mm x 13.2mm, the phone tips the scales at 83.4 grams.

One of the main selling point of feature phones these days is their long battery life, and with its 970mAh power unit, the Nokia 220 is able to provide about 15 hours of talktime on a single charge. It can be bought now through the Nokia eStore or Snapdeal at varying prices.
