Nokia India has tied-up with Reliance Communications Ltd. to promote the slim and stylish Nokia 1255 mobile phone. Priced at Rs. 1,999/-, the 1255 handset is Nokia’s maiden offer of a CDMA handset in the sub Rs. 2,000 range.
According to the company, the sole purpose of the joint venture is to offer a new boost to the budding Indian telecom market by offering customers a high quality mobile experience at an affordable price level.
The Nokia 1255 is an entry-level black and white handset targeted at first time mobile phone users. The handset is sleek and light, and incorporates a variety of productivity enhancing feature tools such as a two-way hands-free speakerphone, voice recorder and a calendar with an alarm clock among others.
