The Nokia 114 release date or price details are nowhere in sight, but it has surfaced in India through the official company website. It plays successor to the likes of the Nokia 206, 112 and 100, which have also been integrated with dual SIM card slots.
Much like the other dual SIM phones from the company, this device is deployed with the Easy Swap technology that allows users to change SIM cards without having to switch it off. Although it’s a basic handset, the Finnish manufacturer has pre-loaded the Nokia browser to facilitate internet access on the move. It can work with 2G networks like GPRS, EDGE and EGPRS.
The sleek and compact form factor of the Nokia 114 measures 110 x 46 x 14.8 millimeters and tips the scales at not more than 80 grams. Its front panel is adorned by a 4.57cm QVGA LCD screen that can render clear visuals in 160 x 128p resolution. The display is accompanied by an alphanumeric keypad as well.
Its flip side is embedded with a 0.3MP snapper which can be used for clicking still images and recording decent videos. The camera of 640 x 480p resolution boasts of possessing attributes like a still image editor, a full screen viewfinder, 4x digital zoom, self-timer, white balance, active toolbar, exposure compensation and more.
Apart from shooting, the device can also play videos and arrives with an audio player in tow. Its list of compatible formats features 3GP, MP4, MP3, MIDI, AMR, WAV, WMA, WAV and AAC to name a few. The handset ships with 64MB mass memory and 16MB of integrated storage, along with a microSD card that can be used to expand its space by up to 32GB.
This Bluetooth-enabled device’s connectivity options are inclusive of a 2mm charging connector and a 3.5mm audio jack. It takes advantage of the Series 40 platform and draws power from a 1020mAh battery that can provide standby time of about 637 hours and talk time of close to 10.5 hours in between charges.
