Extending its COOLPIX portfolio, Nikon has rolled out four new compact Coolpix range of cameras. The Nikon Coolpix S710, S610C, S610 and S560 are the latest from the Japanese company.
The Nikon COOLPIX S710 camera boasts of a whopping 14.5 pixels and a shooting at the rate of 12fps. Featuring a 3.6x optical zoom, the S710 can cover a wide angle of 28 mm and has a sensitivity range of upto ISO 12800. It provides the options of four exposure modes (P/S/A/M), Best Shot Selector and Motion Detection as features and the face-priority AF that can recognize upto 12 faces. The camera comes equipped with 3-inch wide-viewing angle TFT monitor with anti-reflection coating. The highlight of the latest models happens to be the Scene Auto Selector, Nikon’s technology for the first times featuring in COOLPIX cameras. The body of the camera is made robust with durable stainless steel body.
The S610C and S610 cameras claim to be the fastest in their start-up times and also include advanced features like Scene Auto Selector that selects Scene Mode – like the portrait, landscape, night setting, or close up automatically. To capture the active children running around, the cameras also feature an Active Child Mode. They also come with a Smile Mode that detects smile automatically and captures them.
The highlight of S610C camera is that it is supposedly world’s first compact camera compatible with WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup) that can set up a secure connection with Wi-Fi routers for speedier and easy online sharing and storing of digital pictures with the help of Nikon’s my Picturetown.
Both the cameras have aluminum bodies that are made good looking and elegant by the sharply cut contours.
The S710, S610C and S610 cameras come with the Lens-shift Vibration Reduction (VR) feature for anti-blur images. The S610C and S610 have a sensitivity of upto ISO 3200. The fourth impressive camera from Nikon is the S560 with 10 megapixels and 5x NIKKOR zoom lens, 2.7-inch wide-viewing angle TFT monitor, Scene Auto Selector, Smile Mode and high-quality aluminum body.
The S710 will be made available in Urban Black, Titanium Silver and Deep Red by mid-September for a MSRP of €329. The S610C in Black and S610 in Titanium Silver and Deep Red will be made available for MSRP of €319 and MSRP of €299 respectively. The S610 will hit the market by 29 August while the S610C will make its presence by September. Last but not the least, S560 is attractively priced at MSRP of €249 and will be available by end of August, in Warm Silver, Sakura Pink and Black colors.
