The latest member of the Coolpix L series is the Nikon Coolpix L610 camera which is said to be simple in terms of operation, yet feature-filled for a rich photography experience. Apart from the usual filter effects, users will be able to snap up images in low-light conditions and also record videos in full HD resolution.
The Nikkor lens employed here has a focal length of 25mm to 350mm and proffers 14x optical zoom. It can even be used for macro photography to capture close-up images. A 16MP backside illumination CMOS image sensor aims at clicking high quality images by combining multiple exposures into a single picture. To top it off, the camera is packed with noise reduction technologies to deliver clear photos in dark or dimly lit surroundings, even at high sensitivities.
With the company’s own Target Finding AF technology, taking stills should be even more convenient as the attribute is designed to automatically identify human subjects. For capturing videos, the device comes with a dedicated movie-record button located on the back. Apart from full HD 1920 x 1080p resolution at 30fps, it even supports stereo sound.
Users will have a plethora of modes such as portrait, landscape, night, close-up and back-lighting, as well as effects and filters to choose from. This gadget runs on AA-sized batteries of both alkaline and lithium types, and weighs 240 grams after taking the battery as well as SD memory card into account.
