Or for people who are just plain clumsy. Whichever group you belong to, the Nikon Coolpix AW120 is here to save you a lot of bother if being careful with your camera is not an option.
You can take the Nikon Coolpix AW120 for 18-meter dives underwater, expect it to survive 2-meter falls and even expose it to -10°C environments. It features a 16MP 1/2.3-inch CMOS sensor and can shoot full HD 1080/60i videos.
The camera is capable of 6.9 frames per second continuous shooting. It boasts of 10x Dynamic Fine Zoom and is fitted with a wide angle 5x (24-120mm) optical zoom lens. The maximum aperture you can take advantage of is f/2.8 and macro mode enables capturing a subject as close as 1 centimeter away from the lens.
A 3-inch 921k-dot OLED display with anti-reflection coating serves as the user interface. Nikon’s Action Control allows you to operate the device even with gloves on. The ISO sensitivity goes up to 6400 and integrated Wi-Fi connectivity ensures that you can easily share and upload pictures through your smartphone or tablet.
