Besides expanding the Coolpix range with the L610, this manufacturer has introduced the Nikon 1 J2 that forms a part of its 1 system series. Along with this snapper, the company has also released a lens dubbed 1 Nikkor 11-27.5MM f/3.5-5.6.
A successor to the 1 J1, the latest shooter tags along the Creative Mode that can be accessed via a conveniently-placed dial. This mode can be employed to include effects like panorama, soft, miniature, night landscape, backlighting as well as manual exposure controls. The metallic device comes drenched in shades of red, orange, black, white, silver and pink. It is even fitted with a 3-inch LCD monitor that allows previewing and composing images and videos.

Deployed with a 10.1MP CX-format CMOS sensor, the J2 takes advantage of the Expeed 3 image processing engine to deliver good quality pictures even in poorly lit conditions. Additionally, the Advanced Hybrid Auto focus system facilitates capturing moving objects and lets photographers record HD videos at the rate of up to 60 frames per second. The company has also released the WP-N1 case which can resist water to a depth of 40 meters.
The Nikon 1 J2 priced at $549.95, will be available with a 10-30mm lens in September this year. The 1 Nikkor 11-27.5MM f/3.5-5.6 and the WP-N1 case prices are $189.95 and $749.95, respectively. Both these accessories are expected to hit store shelves next month as well.
