The new Nike+ FuelBand is gearing to up to tempt audiences with its practical design and interesting functions which may convince fitness enthusiasts that they’re actually capable of achieving their targets. Count us pessimists after all the unavoidable New Year bingeing.
The wristband embeds an accelerometer to record the movements of the wrist and display the information on its LED dot matrix screen. The four available metrics spell out to be Time, Calories, Steps and NikeFuel. The last mentioned is basically a normalized score which gives equal points for the same activity and does not depend on any other physical factor like gender or body type. Fitness buffs can set a daily goal for the amount of NikeFuel they intend to achieve. Users can also lock in the target of how active they wish to be.

This Nike wearable accessory possesses 20 LED lights which flash from red to green depending upon how close the person is to their objective. The device may be synced with the Nike+ website to record activity and track progress. It can be done by employing the built-in USB. Syncing such data wirelessly by connecting to the iPhone app via Bluetooth is also possible. Besides the lights signaling the user to keep going, the app interface is also built to egg on people with encouragement and motivation.
