Those in India who are eager to get their hands on the Nexus 6P will need to cool their heels for a longer time than expected it seems. Shipments of the device are being delayed by Flipkart, even after Huawei having promised that they will reach buyers’ doorsteps in the first week of November.
While some customers are reporting that their units have been shipped and will indeed be arriving later this week, some are saying that their Nexus 6P orders will be delivered by November 20, which means they will be shipped sometime around November 13. But Flipkart is apologizing for this delay, and is looking to compensate it with Rs 1000 worth of credit in buyers’ virtual wallets.
Huwei India has revealed via a tweet that it has delivered the aluminum variants in the country already, with the graphite models ready to arrive later this week. A buyer of the graphite version of the Nexus 6P has sort of confirmed this by putting up a screenshot on Twitter which shows that his order has been delayed until November 20.
It’s not just in India that the new Nexus handset from Huawei is facing supply issues. In the US too, there have been several delays in its shipments, resulting in Google having offered $25 refunds to those affected. The device moreover, is still to be made available in Europe.
