E-commerce websites are still one step ahead than OEMs as Flipkart which made the Google Nexus 6 available for pre-order last month has commenced shipping of orders. And it was only today that the search giant along with Motorola, officially launched the handset in India.
What’s more, Google is yet to start offering the Nexus 6 through its Play store as the phone is still pegged as coming soon. Well, the device is expected to hit pre-order status tomorrow which is when the search giant’s GOSF (Great Online Shopping Festival) also goes live.
Nevertheless, Flipkart is still in the lead as many customers have reputedly started receiving emails stating that their orders have started shipping. And deliveries are said to be honored this week itself. The new Android flagship is quite the pricy release, but it does pack the best hardware on the market.
For refresher’s sake, the phone is designed by Motorola which was earlier owned by Google, but now in the hands of Lenovo. Design-wise, it’s basically a larger version of the popular Moto X handset running on steroids. The company has given it a phablet form factor where the display size is 5.96 inches and visuals are delivered at 2K 2560 x 1440 pixel resolution.
The screen is an AMOLED one and is coated with Corning Gorilla Glass 3. Android Lollipop delivers the steam, but the processor here isn’t 64-bit enabled. Google has gone with a 2.7GHz quad core Snapdragon 805 chip with Adreno 420 graphics.
Quick refresher of the key Google Nexus 6 specs:

As mentioned above, the Google Nexus 6 will be available through the Play store from tomorrow. The phone is currently listed as out of stock on Flipkart.
