Next Moto G has arrived in India, we have a clue about its price

The Motorola Moto G successor, or the G2 as it’s being referred to, has landed in India already just ahead of its September 5 launch in the country. And there’s a huge indicator about its expected price which has come to the fore as well.

Import data tracking website Zauba, has given away the fact that at least 70000 units of the new device have been imported into India. Each of them appears to be priced at Rs 10640, but that’s just the import price. After adding taxes and other business-related extras, the cost could go up to Rs 13500. As AndroidOS has pointed out, imported units of the original Moto G were bearing a price of Rs 10900 back then, and they were eventually priced at Rs 13999 by Flipkart.

Moto G Zauba Listing

Interestingly, the Zauba listing is calling the device the Moto G instead of using the G2 tag, which implies that it might lazily be called the new Moto G instead of allowing a number to be added to its name. This phone will be unveiled to the world along with the new Moto X at a September 4 event which will also feature the Moto 360 smartwatch and some sort of Motorola headphones.

A look at the leaked specs of the new Moto G:

– OS: Android 4.4.4 KitKat
– Display: 5-inch IPS, 720p HD
– Memory: 2GB RAM, 8GB storage
– Processor: 1.2GHz quad core Snapdragon 800
– Camera: 8MP rear, 2MP front

Moto G2

Motorola India will be holding its own event on September 5 and that’s when the new Moto G is expected to be released in India through Flipkart.
