The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-HX200V, HX30V, HX20V, HX10V and H90 cameras are the latest offerings to jump aboard the H Series. These snappers are said to be redesigned and equipped with thin zoom lenses.
To deliver enhanced zoom capabilities and maintain a slim profile at the same time, the HX30V and HX20V devices are bundled with new thin 20x optical lenses. Along with these cameras, the HX200V and HX10V snappers feature an 18.2MP Exmor R CMOS sensor that is coupled with the Bionz processor to obtain quick AF speeds of around 0.13 seconds in daylight and 0.21 seconds in surroundings with low-light conditions. Furthermore, the H90 camera sports a 16.1MP CCD sensor, a 16x optical zoom lens, 720p HD video recording and much more.
“Consumers want versatility in a compact camera,” expressed Yosuke Tomoda, director of the Cyber-shot business at Sony Electronics. “By focusing on slim, stylish designs while adding advanced image sensors, strong zoom capabilities and new opportunities to share content socially, we continue to push the boundaries of the category.”
Moving on to the high-end HX200V snapper, Sony has embedded it with a 30x optical zoom lens. With the DSC-HX30V, users will be able to transfer a variety of content to compatible devices like smartphones, tablets and TV sets over Wi-Fi connectivity. And through the PlayMemories mobile application, images and videos can be shared as well as uploaded to hosting websites like Facebook or YouTube.
The high-end Sony Cyber-shot DSC-HX200V price amounts to $480. For the remaining cameras, the DSC-HX30V price tag reads at $420, whilst the HX20V, HX10V and H90 prices sum up to $400, $330 and $250, respectively. The new H Series will be up for grabs sometime during this month at retail stores and online.
