Come next Tuesday, the all new HTC One smartphone will go official and it seems to have gotten AT&T all excited. The carrier has confirmed that it will be launching a new HTC handset soon and is hosting a sweepstakes where it will give out a total of 5 units of the said device for free.
The promotion has already gone live and it will end on March 25. Nevertheless, you can still get in on the action by simply filling up all details on this dedicated page. Also, AT&T seems to have unintentionally disclosed the price of the all new HTC One, notes Unwired View. If you head over to the rules link at the bottom of the page, a line states that the prize has an approximate retail value of $639.99.
If this information is correct, the all new HTC One will be slightly cheaper than the off-contract Samsung Galaxy S5, or $10 lesser to be precise. The report suggests that the handset will be available with a 2-year agreement for around $199.99. The Taiwanese company has been teasing its upcoming flagship for a couple of months now it will finally reveal the device next week. Well, almost every bit of information on the phone has already been disclosed through leaks, so we doubt there’s going to be any surprises next week.
Here are the known specifications:
– 5-inch 1080p display
– Single and dual SIM options
– 2.2GHz quad core Snapdragon 800 SOC
– 2GB RAM, 16GB storage
– Android 4.4 KitKat with Sense 6.0
– Rear UltraPixel camera
— Qualcomm (@Qualcomm) March 21, 2014
While the aforementioned price is for the carrier model, the unlocked all new HTC One is likely to cost around $760 or €550. These amounts are just rumors, but we’ll have the official information in just a few days.
