New entry-level Xiaomi phone spotted at TENAA

Xiaomi it seems is in the process of building a new entry-level smartphone. A new device that goes by the codename Mi 2014816 has been spotted on Chinese regulator TENAA’s website, with its important features listed clearly.

The Xiaomi Mi 2014816 has been revealed to feature a 4.7-inch display bearing a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. The insides of this smartphone are powered by a 1.2GHz quad core processor that’s assisted in its operations by 2GB worth of RAM.

According to the TENAA listing (via GSM Arena), this Xiaomi handset comes pre-installed with the Android 4.4.4 KitKat OS. This is quite strange considering all latest devices from the Chinese company are based on the Lollipop version of Google’s mobile OS.

The new Mi 2014816 is said to feature 8 GB worth of storage, apart from a microSD card slot supporting an additional 32GB of space. While its rear camera will apparently grab an 8MP sensor, its front snapper will click selfies of 2MP in resolution.

The final important aspect about the Xiaomi Mi 2014816 is the fact that it features LTE support, apart from all other basic connectivity options.
