New Dell MP3 Player in the Offing?

Dell Logo It seems that Dell intends to make a come back in the media player market. According to The Wall Street Journal, Dell is working on a new digital music player.

The publication further mentioned that the music player might be seen on the shelves as early as September 2008. Moreover, according rumors the upcoming Dell’s player will be equipped with some next-generation features such as Wi-Fi capabilities and touch interface.

Dell’s first mp3 player was launched in the market in 2003. The Dell Digital Jukebox, an initial player was available in two storage capacities namely 15GB and 20GB. However in 2006 Dell decided to exit from mp3 player market.

Now the latest news says that Dell would re-enter in the portable music player territory. However Dell has not confirmed the news as of now. But it would be interesting to see what Dell brings for music enthusiasts in the era of Apple iPods.
