New Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 1.0 Photographic Software Shipped

Adobe Systems announced today that it has shipped commercial Photoshop Lightroom 1.0 photographic software which was up till now available as a free beta download.

Photoshop Lightroom software is the professional photographer’s essential toolbox, which provides one easy application for managing, adjusting, and presenting large volumes of digital photographs thereby reducing the time spent in front of the computer so you have more time behind the lens.

Photoshop Lightroom allows you to manage, adjust and present digital photographs. Some of the tools it includes are tool white balance, exposure control, tone curves, lens distortion and color casts. Photoshop Lightroom supports numerous digital formats used by digital cameras, including JPEG, TIFF and raw formats. The photographic software supports more than 150 raw formats from a variety of camera makers.

Photoshop Lightroom 1.0 software currently costs $199 but will cost $299 after April 30.

Photoshop Lightroom system requirements are as follows, Mac OS X 10.4.3. or later, a 1 GHz G5, G5 or Intel-based processor and one GB of hard disk space.

Adobe Systems also released Photoshop Camera Raw 3.7 plug-in which adds support for over 150 cameras including Nikon D40 and Pentax K10D. With the new update it is also now possible to apply default image settings specific to a camera serial number, and apply default image settings specific to a camera ISO setting.
