NEC Versa E6210 and E6200, the Video-Conferencing enabled Notebooks by Enkay

Enkay Technologies, the official commercial business reseller for NEC Computers, has announced the India launch of the NEC Versa E6210, and the NEC Versa E6200, the company’s very first one-touch video-conferencing enabled notebooks.

NEC Versa E6210 and NEC Versa E6200 feature the latest Intel Centrino Duo Mobile Technology with Intel Core 2 Duo mobile processor. In addition, they feature a Skype One-Touch Activation button to make possible better mobile computing, communications, and internet applications, through the integrated digital Web Cam.

“This is the world s first one-touch video conferencing notebook that is amazingly user friendly. A click is all that you need to start instant-on voice and video communication,” Ajit Thatte, chief executive officer and director, Enkay Technologies.

The E6210 and the E6200 notebooks come in Facia Brown (E6210) and Facia Black (E6200), and have a unique textured pattern on the exterior, which gives them a vice-like grip.

The notebooks are designed for next generation computing platforms, and are both Windows Vista capable. With 14.1-inch LCD screens and resolutions of 1280 x 800, the new notebooks feature NEC’s Super Shine View Technology, dedicated Nvidia GeForce Go 7300 graphics technology supporting up to 512MB VRAM (with minimum 1GB system memory), and Nvidia’s PureVideo Technology for stutter-free life-like video enjoyment.

Tim Bailey, director of Platform Marketing, Intel Asia Pacific, said, “Using Intel Centrino Duo mobile technology-based notebooks like the NEC notebooks, users can immerse themselves more fully in their music, games and high-definition movies, TV and video. Combined with Intel’s world-class 65-nanometer manufacturing lead, these processors deliver outstanding mobile energy-efficient performance.”

In addition, the notebooks come with built-in Web Cams, remote controls (Express Card size), DVD Super Multi Drives with double layer support, DDR II dual channel memory of up to 2 GB, and HDD of up to 100 GB. They also incorporate built-in 4-in-1-memory card readers to transfer photos and music files to and from other devices.

The NEC Versa E6210 and NEC Versa E6200 are expected to be available in around two weeks for a suggested price between Rs. 95,000 and Rs. 100,000.
